What does a circular economy mean to your organization?
To Copper Bonnet, circular economy means choosing a holistic approach to sustainability, intertwining product creation with environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
How is your organization practicing circularity?
Copper Bonnet Distillery actively participates in the circular economy by integrating sustainable practices throughout its operations. The distillery’s award-winning gin is crafted using coastal botanicals and sugar kelp harvested from the Northeast Atlantic, emphasizing the use of sustainably sourced and regionally available ingredients, where possible. This approach not only supports local ecosystems but also reduces the environmental footprint associated with ingredients.
Operating from a net-zero facility, Copper Bonnet minimizes energy consumption and waste production, aligning with circular economy principles that focus on reducing resource use and maximizing efficiency. The brand’s commitment to sustainability extends to its packaging, utilizing materials that are recyclable and environmentally friendly, where possible.
Furthermore, Copper Bonnet collaborates with FORCE BLUE, an organization that engages retired combat divers in marine conservation efforts. A portion of the distillery’s profits supports these initiatives, contributing to the restoration and protection of ocean habitats.
Through these measures, Copper Bonnet Distillery embodies the essence of the circular economy, demonstrating that high-quality spirits can be produced in harmony with the planet.
