Eco Materials Site Tour: Transforming Construction Waste

What if construction waste could become the foundation for future projects?

Join Green Building United and Circular Philadelphia on October 7 from 9:00–10:30 AM for an exclusive site tour of Eco Materials, the recipient of Green Building United’s 2025 Sustainable Design & Planning Groundbreaker Award. 

This tour will showcase how contaminated and excess soils that would otherwise be landfilled are transformed into valuable construction materials through advanced soil washing and aggregate recycling processes. Attendees will tour the facility, observe equipment in operation, and learn how recovered aggregates and manufactured sands are helping reduce waste, conserve natural resources, and support more sustainable construction throughout the Philadelphia region. 

The tour will also explore the role of circular economy strategies in infrastructure, brownfield redevelopment, and commercial construction projects.
